City of omaha parks master plan

The Omaha Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department is asking the public for their help in the development of a master plan for the renovation of Dahlman Park. The 4.3 acre park is located at 615 Pine Street. The park currently has a playground with a play structure and swings, a tennis court, an asphalt surfaced, full-size basketball court, asphalt and concrete walks, horseshoe courts, and open space. Dahlman Park is dedicated parkland so the City cannot sell any portion of the park. The last master plan for the park was completed in 1995 and the last park improvements were done in 1996.

The following survey asks for the public to comment on the parks existing features as well as provide additional information on park improvements. No final decisions have been made as far as park improvements. The intent is to produce a master plan for the park by the end of 2022. Implementing any improvements would be based on future available funding. Your input is important to us as we want to make this your park. If you have questions regarding the project you can contact Dennis E. Bryers, FASLA, PLA at 402.444.3798 or email Dennis.Bryers@cityofomaha.org.
